Writers Marcie Rendon, Mai Neng Moua, Carolyn Holbrook, and Nora Murphy will join us at the East Side Freedom Library for a conversation moderated by writer Diane Wilson.  These five authors write books that share a common theme of relentless woman-centered truth-telling pursued by balancing the knowledge of ancestors with the demands of contemporary American life.

This is our first event in a new once-a-month series titled the “Women from the Center Reading Series.” Women from the Center is a group of Midwest writers from diverse community who support one another as they write their truths.

Every subsequent fourth Thursdays of the month from May to September, the East Side Freedom Library will feature one writer reading from her book:
