“What Happened Miss Simone” (2015) is the story of legendary singer and activist Nina Simone, and includes never-before-heard recordings, rare archival footage, and her best-known songs. Directed by Liz Garbus.

October’s film is part of the “Storytelling through Vinyl & Film” series, which is a partnership between the East Side Freedom Library and A Greener Read Used Book Store.

The documentary film will be presented at 5PM at A Greener Read Used Bookstore, 506 Kenny Road.
