The Good Country: a History of the American Midwest, 1800-1900 by Jon Lauck.
The Roseville History Book Club meets monthly with a representative of the East Side Freedom Library, for discussions on a wide variety of topics from American history. Enrollment limited to insure an intimate discussion experience. Extra copies of the books available at the Library.
This month, join Peter Rachleff, Director Emeritus of ESFL, for a discussion of The Good Country: a History of the American Midwest, 1800-1900 by Jon Lauck, an unorthodox look at the part of the nation all-too-often dismissed as “flyover country” by those on the Coasts.
This event is co-sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of MN with the financial support of the Ramsey County Library Friends.
This is an online class offered remotely using Zoom communication software. Register online on the Ramsey County Library website or by calling 651-724-6001 (press #3). You must provide a valid email address to participate. After registration, participants will receive additional instructions including a Zoom link on the morning of the meeting, which will be used as an invitation to enter the online discussion.
