December 4, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm CST

Event Navigation

The East Side Freedom Library’s Labor Advisory Committee and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 Women’s Committee invite you to The East Side Freedom Library’s Labor Open House!

Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 5pm – 8pm

(Short Program at 6pm)

The East Side Freedom Library—a Labor Hall for the Community—is excited to open our doors to our friends from all over the labor movement. Come see what we’re doing.  Come build solidarity with other members of the labor movement! Come have a great time!

Sisters of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 Women’s Committee, will be warmly hosting hot refreshments and beverages. We all thank their union, IUOE Local 49, for providing the resources for this event. Local 49 was established in 1927 and it now represents 14,000 heavy equipment operators, mechanics and stationary engineers employed in the public and private sectors across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. And we especially thank the Women’s Committee for their work to strengthen the union on job sites, throughout the building trades, and in the community.
