Tenants’ Rights, Where Are We Now?

October 27, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm CDT

Event Navigation

Join the East Side Freedom Library and the East Side Housing Justice working group in a virtual discussion of the new tenant protection ordinances in Saint Paul on Tuesday, October 27th at 6-7:30 pm. This discussion will take place by Zoom. You need to register to receive the Zoom link.

The Alliance for Metropolitan Stability and the Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing will give a brief overview of the tenant protection ordinances, the history of how those ordinances were passed, and what some of the possible next steps are. Kirstin Burch, the city of Saint Paul’s Fair Housing coordinator, will then present how the city will be implementing the new policies. After the presentations, we’ll split into breakout groups to talk about the new ordinances, reconvene and then end for the night.
