The East Side Freedom Library and Full Circle Theater invite you to a special preview performance of

CAUGHT

Full Circle Theater will be in residency at East Side Freedom Library, preparing their production of CAUGHT for the stage at the Guthrie Theatre, where it will open on May 17. They have generously invited the ESFL community to join them for a full rehearsal of the play, 90 minutes without intermission.

CAUGHT is a highly entertaining dark comedy that opens with an exhibition featuring the work of Chinese artist, Lin Bo. After the audience tours the exhibit and takes their seats, Lin Bo arrives and shares stories about his life as a dissident artist in China. But when a New York reporter and her editor join him on stage, everything shifts and nothing is at it seems, leaving the audience to question what is real, what is illusion, and what is a figment of their imagination.

Playwright Christopher Chen won an Obie Award for CAUGHT when it was produced in New York in 2017. Full Circle’s production is directed by Rick Shiomi and features a great cast of local actors.
