Event Navigation

The East Freedom Library invites you to an energetic performance:

Sonoglyph at the East Side Freedom Library

Friday, May 10th, 2019, 7:00-8:30pm

The Sonoglyph Collective fuses poetry, storytelling, songwriting, and spoken word with improvisational music to create unique and spontaneous performances. The group includes poets Hawona Sullivan Janzen, IBé Kaba, Kathryn Kysar, and Lynette Reini-Grandell, along with musicians Aaron Kerr (cello), Sean Egan (clarinet), and Jonathan Townsend (percussion).

They have given performances and workshops throughout the Twin Cities, at venues including the Blue Harbor Center for the Arts, the East Side Freedom Library, the Wolf House, the Saint Paul Public Library, the Normandale Writing Festival, and the University of Minnesota’s Witness Creative Writing Project.

“A magical merging of music and poetry.”
—Stan Kusunoki, curator/host of the Bridges Reading series
