This 1999 “docudrama” shows the drama behind the drama – the skilled and creative work of stagehands in the production of Wagner’s iconic Ring Cycle. Its spirited and comical –  but appreciative – look at the human labor needed to realize a theatrical vision won the Filmmaker’s Trophy at Sundance.
