Sign a Petition to Put Rent Stabilization on the Ballot

April 17, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm CDT

Event Navigation

The East Side Freedom Library invites you to sign a petition to put rent stabilization on the ballot in Saint Paul.

Whether Black or White, Asian or Latinx, immigrant or Indigenous, a student or a senior, renters belong in St. Paul. But, a growing number of corporate and predatory landlords are putting profits over people, and spiking rents to make more money. Too many of us are struggling to pay the rent and have friends, family, and neighbors who have been forced out of St. Paul because they couldn’t afford their housing. We have the power to change! Rent stabilization is a proven policy adopted by cities nationwide that stops displacement and promotes housing stability. If you believe that renters belong in our neighborhoods, join the effort for rent stabilization in St. Paul! Learn more and get involved at www.housingequitystp.org

Stop by the East Side Freedom Library anytime from 12-6pm on Saturday, April 17th to sign the petition. Bring your friends, family, neighbors and others in your network. You must be a St. Paul resident and registered voter to sign the petition, but we can get you registered to vote on site if you are eligible!
