Join Speaking Out for a performance and workshop at ESFL.

School’s No Place for Kids is a short play about how a spirited child and a by-the-book teacher find their way to the classroom from different places. The show will be followed by time to imagine what education should look like in discussion and art making activities.

Light refreshments provided. Free and open to the public, all ages welcome.

About Speaking Out:
Speaking Out creates arts-based activities to nurture curiosity, creativity and critical thinking for children and adults. We are a collective of working and teaching artists who share technique communities can use to express themselves and dig into ideas that need attention. With puppets, plays, poems, songs and dance, we invite conversations and new creation.

Our goal is to share techniques and methods that young people can use to express themselves more fully and to create possibilities for communities to engage and develop projects with children through the arts.
