Join ESFL for the final event in our Fall Love & Solidarity Series! In this librarian fireside chat, distinguished librarians Tami Lee and Jody Gray will discuss libraries, book bans, and censorship. The fireside will be hybrid in-person and online.

Tami Lee is the Minnesota State Librarian, Director of State Library Services and Expanded Learning with the Minnesota Department of Education.

Jody Gray is an Associate University Librarian for Research at the University of Minnesota Libraries.

Read to the Max is a day-long homage to banned books and the stories they hold. The afternoon of Thursday, November 16th, we invite folks to tune in to a livestream of community readers reading aloud from their favorite banned books. The celebration continues into the evening, as ESFL hosts an interactive zine-making pop-up, led by Professor of Book Arts Erica Rasmussen. The event culminates in a fireside chat featuring noted Minnesota librarians Tami Lee and Jody Gray. Alongside these offerings will be a special queer-focused zine display, curated by Late Night Copies Press.
