January 25, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm CST

Event Navigation

ARE YOU A RENTER IN THE GREATER EAST SIDE?
Join East Side Freedom Library and Greater East Side Community Council to make sure the city listens to renters, that renters’ voices are heard in development and planning decisions, and to learn about how we can start organizing renters for change.
This month’s meeting will be held via Zoom. If you’re interested in attending, please register at the link below! We’ll have John Slade, a District 1 Board Member and organizer with MICAH (Metropolitan Interfaith Council for Affordable Housing) in to talk about a possible replacement for St. Paul’s repealed “SAFE” tenant protections ordinance.
We’ll also hear about issues renters are currently facing in the neighborhood and see what steps we can take to support them!
As usual, renters who attend will receive who live in the GES will receive a $30 stipend, as well as support tackling the issues they are facing in their building and neighborhood. In order to receive the stipend, you must live in our service area: https://www.stpaul.gov/…/City%20Council/D2%20Map.pdf
