The East Side Freedom Library invites you to join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 5 – 8PM on our beautiful lawn at 1105 Greenbrier Street.

National Night Out was introduced in 1984 through a partnership of an established network of community groups, state and local crime prevention associations, local governments, law enforcement agencies, and volunteers across the nation. The first National Night Out involved 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities. The event has grown to 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities and neighborhoods! St. Paul has had a proud tradition of participating in National Night Out. We have finished in 1st place for a city of our size 5 times! In 2019 we set a record in terms of number of events and participation with over 36,000 people participating across the city.

But it’s not the numbers that matter. This is an opportunity get to know our neighbors and build community—especially after such a challenging couple of years.

Help the East Side Freedom Library celebrate our eighth anniversary! And celebrate the community spirit and pride we are all building together. We will provide refreshments, entertainment, activities for kids, and information about our resources and our community.
