Movie posters for 1913

Labor Movie Night — documentary double feature — “Red Metal” and “1913 Massacre” — Two recent films which explore the Michigan Upper Peninsula copper miners’ strike of 1913. These two films were made independently of each other to mark the 100th anniversary of this historic and tragic struggle. “1913 Massacre” was inspired by Woody Guthrie’s powerful song and features his son Arlo as narrator. Each film is one hour, and, together, they provide multiple perspectives on this important but largely forgotten story. 7pm

This is co-sponsored with AFSCME Local 3800 and the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation.
