National History Day Scholars!

Debate & Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures, Consequences

The East Side Freedom Library invites you to benefit from our rich resources and our experienced mentors!

The 2022 National History Day theme asks you to think about how disagreements and attempts to reach compromise have impacted people, places, ideas, and events in the past. Are you interested in racial justice, labor activism, women’s rights, the impact of GLBTQ+ movements, environmental activism, and more? Come to the East Side Freedom Library where you will find rich resources (books, art, music, the Hmong Archives, and more) for your research and experienced mentors eager to help you shape your project.

Every Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM
Starting on December 4th, 2021

We will not hold meetings on December 25th, 2021 or January 1st, 2021.

We ask that you make an appointment by emailing [email protected], that upon your arrival you show proof of vaccination or a negative test within the previous 2 days, that you wear a mask, and that you observe safety precautions while here. After your initial mentoring consultation, you will be welcome to come at other times to use our resources, and our mentors will be available for one-on-one conversations, in person or remotely.

We look forward to working with you.
