Wednesday, February 15– Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers, Won the Vote, and Insisted on Equality for All by Martha S. Jones
The Roseville History Book Club meets monthly under the leadership of representatives of the Eastside Freedom Library for conversations about thought-provoking history titles. This month, join Peter Rachleff, Director Emeritus of ESFL, for a discussion of Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers, Won the Vote, and Insisted on Equality for All by Martha S. Jones, an account of the role played by African-American women in the struggle for equal rights.
