Coming Out as Dalit, Dutt’s first book, was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puruskar, 2020, among the country’s highest literary honors, and is currently being taught at several universities across the United States. Dutt’s writing has been published in The New York Times, Atlantic and Foreign Policy Magazine. She graduated from Columbia University and lives in Brooklyn. She’s on Twitter @YashicaDutt.
