This workshop will guide participants through the ways a capitalist/profit-driven economy functions and how it concentrates the wealth generated by the masses into the hands of a few. More importantly, we will explore how this economy repeatedly screws over the working class and communities of color through constantly stripping them of their wealth, while also subjecting them to gradual socio-economic and environmental deterioration and crises. We will also highlight ways in which participants can get involved with local efforts that aim to improve racial and economic conditions in the Twin Cities.
