ESFL is delighted to be hosting the “Faces of Solidarity” photography and oral history exhibit, curated by the Minnesota Polish Medical Society. The exhibit is on display from September 10 – October 9, and we will be convening a number of conversations about the work, the history it represents, and the relevance of the experiences of Polish Solidarity activists who became immigrants to Minnesota to both the state’s labor movement and other immigrant communities.

On Sunday, September 18, at 5pm CT, Grzegorz will be in conversation with ESFL’s Peter Rachleff. They will explore Grzegorz’s approach to documentary photography, the “Faces of Solidarity” project, and other projects he has undertaken. At ESFL we have learned that photography is an important vehicle through which our neighbors can tell their stories, and we can learn from them.
