The Twin Cities Labor Movie Night continues with Struggles in Steel: A Story of African-American Steelworkers (1998)

“Struggles in Steel” is an examination of the 100-year struggle of African American steelworkers for equal rights in the mills.  Combining archival footage and frank interviews with dozens of workers, the documentary paints an uncompromising picture of how one culture was hit especially hard by the industry’s collapse.
