“Remembering Nokutela” is a documentary film about Nokutela Dube, wife of the founding president of South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC), and an educator, contributor to the Zulu newspaper Ilanga Lase Natal, musician, and composer of great talent. Her grave was unmarked and her legacy forgotten for many years, until Prof. Keita’s film led the South African government to offer her full recognition and honors for her pioneering role in local and international black struggles.
