Hmong Pioneers, Honoring the First Wave: A Documentary Film Screening

January 18, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST

Event Navigation

Join us for a screening and discussion of the documentary film, “Hmong Pioneers: Honoring the First Wave.”

In 1975, at the tumultuous close of the Vietnam war, the Hmong people in Laos fled their homes, livelihoods, and culture and began to arrive in the U.S. as refugees. Since that time, St. Paul, Minnesota has become the largest home of Hmong Americans in the United States; Hmong Pioneers is their story.

This event is co-sponsored by SPNN, ESFL, and Hmong Archives.
