Why do Minnesotans experience some of the worst racial disparities in home ownership in this country? This new film, produced by filmmakers at TPT-2, delves into the complex history of racial covenants in Minneapolis and systematic racism that has lasting repercussions on housing inequities today.

“Jim Crow of the North” is the second film in the series that ESFL and our community partners are screening as part of our on-going series, “The Fight for Housing Justice.”  On July 30, we will screen “Detroit 48202.” All films will be followed by a facilitated discussion and there will be a community conversation on August 13.
