Why are Health Care Costs in the U.S. So High and What Can We Do About It?
Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 7-9 pm, Doors Open at 6:30 pm
with Anne C. Jones MA, BSN, RN

What is the impact of our multi-payer system on health spending in the U.S. and in Minnesota, on overall health outcomes, on individuals, families, and businesses? How did we get here? What are some of the barriers to change? What are the principles and features of a comprehensive, affordable, high quality health care system that would cover all Minnesotans?

Anne C. Jones is a registered nurse with over 45 years of experience in direct patient care, clinical education, and nursing management, primarily in a major metropolitan academic medical center, as well as the health policy division of the Minnesota Department of Health. She is translating her study of health policy, and her clinical background, into advocacy for change in how we pay for health care in Minnesota and the U.S. Anne is on the board of Health Care for All Minnesota.

This presentation is sponsored by Health Care for All Minnesota (HCAMN).
