YOU’RE INVITED TO A POST SHOW TALK-BACK FOR SUB/PRIME AT MIXED BLOOD THEATRE
Join ESFL’s Clarence White and Peter Rachleff for a talk-back following the May 12 performance of Sub/Prime: The Play at Mixed Blood Theatre
Sub/Prime is set in the summer of 2008 on the eve of the mortgage and financial crisis that challenged the housing stability and livelihood of many Americans. A play about economic systems, it is, at the same time, a show about relationships and how dominant thinking shapes them both.
Join us after the show on May 12 for a talk-back session. Tell us what you think and help fill in the missing pieces of this allegorical portrayal of a key period of our country’s economic history.
Last month, we were joined at ESFL by playwright Beck Lee and cast member Charles Fraser in a discussion about the play, its origins and Lee’s decade-long creative path. Now, neither we nor the creators want the curtain call to be the last word.
We hope this post-show conversation will give us a deeper look into cultural dynamics, economic justice and the artistic voice–and many more ideas from you, our creative community.
Tickets for the performance can be purchased here.
