The East Side Freedom Library invites you to “Reclaiming Lives: Pursuing Justice for Six Innocent Men,” A Book Talk with Joan Treppa on Monday, November 6 @ 7:00PM.

Told from a non-legal perspective, Reclaiming Lives: Pursuing Justice for Six Innocent Men describes true events and real people whose lives were thrown into chaos when, in October of 1995, six murder convictions befell six innocent men from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Joan explains why she became a compassionate advocate for these strangers and the process that brought them renewed hope. She addresses contributing factors in the growing number of wrongful convictions that have come to light in recent years and the need for an awareness of this demoralizing victimization of innocent individuals.

Joan Treppa is a wife, mother, social justice advocate, and author from Blaine, Minnesota whose focus has been to advocate for those convicted of crimes they did not commit. She is a prime example of how one person can affect change in unexpected and meaningful ways.
