Mother Moose Storytime

August 23, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm CDT

Event Navigation

The East Side Freedom Library invites you — children, parents, lovers of children, and dogs — to a special evening with Mother Moose:

It’s the Dog Days of Summer. Come to the Mother Moose Storytime at East Side Freedom Library and we will read some dogbooks, (with Orso,of course,) and create some doggie-inspired art.

Minnesota author, Mary Cassanova wrote, “One Dog Canoe,”  (illustrated by Ard Hoyt). When a girl and her dog set off on a canoe trip together, they’re expecting a quiet afternoon for two. Every animal along the way wants to jump in the canoe.  What will they do?

We will also read the forever favorite dog story, “Walter the Farting Dog,” written by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray, and illustrated by Audrey Coleman. Walter is a fine dog, except for one small problem: he has gas. He can’t help it; it’s just the way he is. (Don’t worry, Walter, it happens to the best of us.)
