Come learn about budgeting and savings as the first steps to financial independence!

PPGJ, an organization committed to empowering people and providing them with the skills and resources needed to succeed in life through a variety of community outreach programs, will provide a financial literacy class to promote financial inclusion through education and community engagement. The training focuses on budgeting, reducing debt and building assets, building a good credit score, and protecting against identity theft and consumer scams. There will time for one on one information sessions to answer your financial questions.

Monica Habia is a Community Financial Ambassador from Planting People Growing Justice and trained by GetLifted, a new initiative to create lasting financial wellness with Lutheran Social Services and WellsFargo. Monica believes in the need for financial inclusion and is partnering with East Side Freedom Library to promote financial freedom. Monica currently serves as the Program Director for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of St. Thomas.
