Event Navigation

The East Side Freedom Library will screen the award-winning documentary“At the River I Stand”  on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 18, at 7 PM.  This powerful, hour-long film tells the story of the Memphis sanitation workers who organized with AFSCME in 1968 to demand a living wage, respect, and their rights to bargain collectively.  It was during this struggle that Dr. King was murdered.  Please join us for the film and the discussion which will follow.

This event is co-sponsored by the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation.
