Event Navigation

The East Side Freedom Library invites you to participate in an African Drumming Workshop taught by master drummer, Babatunde Lea

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00-5:30pm beginning September 18th and continuing through the school year
Open to all genders, 5th through 12th grade

With the generous support of a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, we are excited to make this special learning opportunity available. We will provide drums for the students to use. Mr. Lea is a world recognized musician and an experienced teacher. In the spring of 2019, additional teachers will join the program as the students work towards the preparation of a series of public performances on the East Side. This program is free to all participants. Register in person when you arrive!
