Part five of a six week course on Thursday evenings, 6 – 8 pm, from Oct. 16, 2014 – Nov. 20, 2014

co-sponsored by the Saint Paul Public Schools Adult and Community Education Program

Peter Rachleff, co-founder of the East Side Freedom Library, will discuss key chapters in the history of Minnesota’s working people, including:

Labor in the Gilded Age (1880s-1890s)

Immigrant Miners and Robber Barons (1900-World War 1)

Employer Resistance to Unions (1900-1920s)

The Tumultuous 1930s

The Hormel Strike (1985-1986)

Women, Immigrants, and White Collar Workers (1980s-2010)
