Teaching & Inquiring about Greed, Equity & Racism

March 8, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm CST

Event Navigation

Join us for a special presentation by parents and educators who are fighting for better funding of public education, and to reduce racial disparities in schools.

The Saint Paul Federation of Teachers (SPFT) is committed to fighting for the schools our students deserve, and making sure that our teachers and classrooms are equipped with the resources needed to end the racial disparities in our schools. But one of the biggest barriers we face is inadequate funding.

Now a team of parents and educators are fighting to protect our underfunded schools. They have joined together to tackle this barrier head on. This team has closely examined funding streams for schools. They have a strategic plan for educating the public and organizing to win the funding we need for racial justice in our schools.

That team is our TIGER Team: Teaching & Inquiring about Greed, Equity & Racism.  And they’d like to talk to you.
