Please join author and Assistant Professor of English, at Drexel University, Andre Carrington for a reading and discussion of his new book Speculative Blackness: The Future of Race in Science Fiction. Carrington graduated from Macalester College in 2003 ad earned his Ph.D in American Studies from NYU in 2009. This new book ranges from highly praised literature to comic books, and from film to TV and radio. His analysis presents new understandings of the significance of Blackness in 20th century American literature and culture.
