The Lower Phalen Creek Project and East Side Freedom Library are excited to host the screening of “History and Volunteerism in East Side St. Paul”, a local documentary. The film highlights Dakota culture, immigrant history in East Side St. Paul, and inspiring local volunteerism through the Mounds Park United Methodist Church. Filmmaker Kristi Wheeler, church organizer Eric Buck, and other community members will be available for questions and discussion.

The showing is free to attend. Registration is encouraged at www.lowerphalencreek.org/events. Free child care for ages 4-8 is also available, but space must be reserved by emailing [email protected].
